Support for Fathers in Sandwell.

We know that dads and male carers come in a variety of shapes and sizes across our families! Whether as part of a couple, a lone father, a stepdad, in a same-sex partnership, a grandfather/uncle/male role model or separated from their children due to circumstances, Barnardo's believes all fathers can have an active and positive contribution to their children's lives.

In our Sandwell Family Hubs, we have a range of services that actively involve male carers/fathers to ensure you can have positive involvement and fun/healthy/educational activities with your children and families.

Our offer

Family Hubs in Sandwell will give fathers and male carers a range of services and activities designed to hear their choices, feelings and needs. We can provide information advice and guidance, give activities and ideas for greater involvement with your child and offer targeted and practical support.

 

With events and activities based in your local area and support to help you link with other fathers and male carers, we are sure we can have the right support to suit you and your child. Whilst we will offer some fun groups and community events, we can also offer individual programmes of support, particularly when you may be experiencing concern with your mental health, family relationships and parenting. Our support for you can also be delivered virtually, so you can link with others experiencing the same or access support outside of working hours in a safe online way.
